YASED Deep-Tech Enhancer
The YASED Deep-Tech Enhancer (Deep-TE) program is a deep-tech collaboration platform, funded by the U.S. Embassy’s grant program, designed to bring together YASED-member corporations and Turkish deep tech startups. Through its Corporate Startup Synergize initiative, matched startups—such as Virmode—receive training, expert mentoring, and a Demo Day opportunity, culminating in co-created projects and pilot collaborations.
TÜSİAD SD²
Under the TÜSİAD SD² framework (Sanayide Dijital Dönüşüm), SOCAR has launched challenges focused on industrial innovation—such as its active noise cancelling technology initiative. This effort invites technology providers to present actionable digital solutions to real industrial problems, bridging the gap between users, suppliers, and corporates to drive industry-wide transformation.
Technological and Innovative Solutions in Water Competition
In a collaboration with the Woman in Technology Association (WTech), SOCAR supported the “Technological and Innovative Solutions in Water” competition, which aimed to foster innovative ideas in clean water and wastewater management. The program encouraged female-led technological solutions, with Algbio winning the 350,000 TL grand prize for their micro-algae–based system capable of removing 95% of pollutants and producing bioplastics and biofuels.
Startup Challenge 2023
In its flagship open innovation initiative, SOCAR Wennovation selected ten startups as finalists, of which four entered into official collaborations with SOCAR post-program. This challenge serves as a bridge between emerging innovators and industry needs, turning promising solutions into long-term industrial partnerships.
SOCAR Ideathon
Since 2022, the SOCAR Ideathon has united cross-functional teams from different seniority levels, departments, and locations across SOCAR Türkiye to collaboratively tackle critical digital transformation challenges. Using the iterative Design Thinking methodology, participants define problems, ideate creative solutions, and prototype innovative concepts. Over four editions, the program has engaged 125 employees, produced 21 MVPs, and explored key themes such as Digital Business Transformation, Digital Sustainability, and Generative AI with Microsoft—fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and future-focused thinking across the organization.
SOCAR Citizen Developer Program
The SOCAR Citizen Developer Program enables employees to automate tasks without coding, driving efficiency under the motto “Taking automation to the individual level.” Now in its seventh edition, it has delivered 117 live processes, saved 17,500 hours, and reached 13 departments. By providing low-code tools and best practices, the program fosters continuous improvement, helping teams streamline workflows, share solutions, and scale automation across the organization.
SOCAR Generation Digital (GEN-D) Program
GEN-D is SOCAR Türkiye’s digital competency development program designed to upskill and reskill non-technical employees, turning them into digitalization champions within their functions. With a strong focus on building future-ready skills, the program has run twice, equipping participants with the tools, knowledge, and mindset to lead transformation efforts. In doing so, GEN-D is nurturing SOCAR Türkiye’s new “digital generation” and accelerating the company’s journey toward a fully digital future.
SOCAR Copilot Program
The SOCAR Copilot Program equips teams with AI assistance to draft, analyze, and accelerate knowledge work. With 220 users in 31 departments, it has generated 200+ use cases from document drafting to data analysis, proving AI’s impact on quality and efficiency. To ensure readiness, 85% of scenarios were tested before rollout. The program also develops custom agents—7 scenarios reviewed, 2 live, and 5 in progress—embedding expertise into scalable, role-specific AI support.
